1. Are the licensed, bonded, and insured?

For commercial properties, it is important to make sure that they are licensed to work in your particular state, as each state has different codes and requirements. If you have any doubts or questions, it is perfectly acceptable to ask for proof!
2. Are they experienced?
You want to hire a roofing company that has experience installing the specific type of roof you are looking for. Your assets are too valuable and your time and money is too precious to let just any ‘ole company work on your roof. You want to hire the best of the best – someone that knows what they are doing and will do it right. Ask how long they have been in business and don’t hesitate to ask for references and photo examples of previous work. An experienced roofing company will also be members of various organizations (BBB, NRCA, etc.) and will have proof of manufacturer awards and qualifications.
3. What will the roofing process look like?
A good roofing company will be able to provide you with a professional estimate as well as a timeline of when you can expect the work to be completed. Ask what you will need to do to prepare – will you need to remove lawn furniture that may be in the way? Will you need to close your business for a day? Also, ask how the billing/payment process is handled. Are you required to pay upfront or will you be billed at a later?
